Harry Granger-Howell

Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

My name is Harry and I am an experienced and qualified psychodynamic psychotherapist who has been working for years with clients within the NHS and community settings. I see clients for both short-term and longer-term therapy depending on what works for you. My background and training is psychodynamic, meaning I am interested in how our early lives and past relationships can shape our current ones. However, I am also highly adaptive to your needs, and believe in working together to find out what approach will suit you best. I have a specific interest in working with younger adults and those with neurodiversity. I also have extensive experience in working with a range of issues such as abuse, trauma, grief, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, relationship problems and other mental health difficulties. Above all, I believe in the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust and safety which can provide the platform to help work through the issues you have been facing and get you feeling better.

Location

I work from my comfortable and private consulting rooms in Kentish Town but can also offer sessions online.

What to expect

In our initial session I will aim to find out a bit about your background, your current circumstances and what has brought you to therapy. We can then think more about what could be helpful for you in terms of the support I offer. Some people prefer shorter-term work (typically 6-16 sessions) while others might prefer ongoing therapy. It’s also ok not to be sure what might work for you, we can discuss and figure it out together.

I offer a free 15 minute phone call where we can discuss what brings you to therapy, for you to ask any questions, and to see whether it feels like we’re a good fit. If you’re happy to go ahead we can then arrange an initial session with a view to meeting weekly.
